Ajay Jawahar Sharma Appointed as Director of Operations at Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa

Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa is thrilled to announce the appointment of Ajay Jawahar Sharma as the new Director of Operations. With a wealth of experience in hospitality, particularly in food and beverage management, Ajay’s arrival marks a significant milestone for the resort as it continues to elevate its guest experiences.

Ajay brings a distinguished career that spans various leadership roles across renowned global hospitality brands. Prior to his current role, he served as the Executive Assistant Manager-Food & Beverage (F&B) at W Goa, where he oversaw the resort's F&B operations after serving as the Director and Assistant Director of Food & Beverage. His extensive background in managing the culinary and service teams at W Goa helped establish the hotel as a premier destination for luxury and innovation in dining.

Ajay’s career journey has also included notable roles with Hyatt Hotels Corporation, where he was the Outlets Manager/Banquet Manager in Gurugram and Outlets Manager in Dubai. His leadership skills were honed further at Kempinski Hotels in New Delhi, where he was responsible for managing large-scale banqueting operations. His experience includes multiple managerial positions in Bengaluru, Oxford, and Gurugram with InterContinental Hotels Group, where he progressed from Food & Beverage Supervisor and Assistant Manager to Banquet Manager.

Ajay’s passion for hospitality began early in his career, where he first worked as a Food and Beverage Attendant at Hyatt Hotels Corporation in New Delhi. This hands-on experience provided him with a solid foundation in customer service and operations management, which he has continued to build upon throughout his career.

He holds a Bachelor's degree in Hotel, Motel, and Restaurant Management from Bhartiya Vidya Bhavan, Delhi Kendra, and a Bachelor's degree in Art/Art Studies from Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Meerut.

As the new Director of Operations at Sheraton Maldives Full Moon Resort & Spa, Ajay Jawahar Sharma is expected to lead the resort’s operational excellence, ensuring a seamless and luxurious experience for guests. His diverse international experience, particularly in food and beverage management, is set to enhance the resort’s standing as a premier destination in the Maldives.
