Bhatwani Saag is a
traditional dish from Land of God, Uttarakhand. This is a very popular winter
dish there and is made with black soya bean, which is a local type of soya
bean. It makes a unique combination with pahadi red rice and is highly
nutritious.
The unique flavor of
this dish comes from the villages there. It is specifically made in an iron wok
to bring a strong flavor to the dish. It is made from an indigenous pahadi herb
with other spices such as coriander, turmeric and red chilli, added.
