Chef Sushil Omhare Assumes Role as Group Food and Beverage Director at Southern Star Hotels

Chef Sushil Omhare has been appointed as the Group Food and Beverage Director at Southern Star Hotels in Bengaluru. With an extensive and diverse background in the culinary industry, Sushil brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his new role, where he will oversee and elevate the food and beverage offerings across the group's properties.


Before taking on this prestigious position, Sushil served as the Executive Chef at Hotel Radha Regent Bengaluru, where he was responsible for leading the kitchen team and ensuring the highest standards of food quality and presentation. His leadership and culinary skills were instrumental in enhancing the dining experience at the hotel.


Prior to his role at Hotel Radha Regent, Sushil was the Executive Sous Chef at Hotel Clarks Shiraz Agra, where he played a key role in managing kitchen operations and delivering exceptional dining experiences. His experience also includes positions as Sous Chef at Grand Mercure Bengaluru and Mirah Hospitality, where he further honed his culinary expertise and management skills.


Sushil's culinary journey began with roles as a Senior Sous Chef at Aloft Hotels, Whitefield Bengaluru, and as Chef de Partie at The Lemon Tree Hotel Company, where he worked in both Chennai and Bengaluru. His early career provided him with a solid foundation in food production and kitchen management, which he has continued to build upon throughout his career.


Sushil holds a Master’s degree in Tourism Management, with a focus on Tourism and Travel Services Management, from Indira Gandhi National Open University. He also earned a B.Sc in Hotel Management, specializing in Food Production, from the Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology, and Applied Nutrition (IHMCTAN), Pusa. His educational background, combined with his extensive practical experience, makes him a well-rounded professional in the hospitality industry.


With his new role as Group Food and Beverage Director at Southern Star Hotels, Chef Sushil Omhare is set to bring innovative and high-quality culinary experiences to guests, ensuring that the hotel's food and beverage offerings remain at the forefront of the hospitality industry.
