Saura Hotel Agra, part of Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Limited, has welcomed Girish Chandra Kandpal as its new Executive Chef. Known for his culinary expertise and dedication to innovative dining experiences, Chef Girish brings with him an impressive career in food and beverage management across various esteemed hospitality brands.
Prior to this role, Chef Girish held the position of Executive Chef at Mahindra Holidays & Resorts in Udaipur, further solidifying his long-standing association with Mahindra Holidays. His previous roles include serving as Executive Chef at Lemon Tree Hotels in Gurugram and Bengaluru and as Executive Sous Chef at Wyndham Worldwide in Bengaluru. Chef Girish has also contributed his culinary skills as a Junior Sous Chef at Club Mahindra, Chef De Partie at Accor in Bengaluru, and Kitchen Executive at Lemon Tree Hotels.
Chef Girish began his culinary journey as a Commis at Sarovar Hotels & Resorts in Ahmedabad, gaining valuable foundational skills that would shape his career. His educational background includes an MBA in Operations Management from Sikkim Manipal University, a DHM in Food Production from AFCI & HM College Rishikesh, and a BA in Economics and Tourism Management from Kumaon University.
At Saura Hotel Agra, Chef Girish will lead the culinary team, focusing on enhancing guest dining experiences through creative and diverse offerings. His vision for Saura Hotel’s cuisine is expected to set new benchmarks in the Agra hospitality scene.
