Punia Deshraj has joined The Grand Dragon Ladakh as Executive Chef, bringing with him a rich and diverse culinary journey across leading hospitality brands.


Before this, he held the position of Chef at Ascott Limited, Gurugram, and served as Executive Chef at Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Limited in Jaipur. His expertise also spans prestigious properties such as The Khyber Himalayan Resorts & Spa, Gulmarg, and DoubleTree by Hilton, Gurugram, where he worked as Chef De Cuisine.


Punia’s versatile background includes leadership roles like Sous Chef at Bundl Technologies Private Limited and VIM by Ceasar Plus, and as Head Chef at MEBO (Meal in a Bowl), Gurugram. His international exposure includes a stint as Junior Sous Chef at One&Only Resorts, Dubai.


He began his culinary career as Commis II with brands like Crowne Plaza Today and The Palms Town and Country Club, Gurugram, steadily rising through the ranks with dedication and innovation.


Punia holds a Diploma in Food Production from IHM Panipat and a Bachelor of Commerce from Maharishi Dayanand University, Rohtak. Known for his creative approach to food and strong leadership in kitchen operations, he now takes charge of the culinary experiences at one of Ladakh’s premier luxury hotels.
