Sahjad Alam has been named the General Manager of MJ Sarovar Portico in Haridwar, further solidifying his reputation as a dynamic leader in the hospitality industry. With a career spanning over a decade, Sahjad brings extensive expertise in hotel operations, guest services, and team management to his new role.
Prior to this appointment, Sahjad served as the General Manager at Sarovar Portico, Somnath, where he was instrumental in streamlining operations and enhancing guest satisfaction. His leadership journey also includes roles as General Manager at Hotel Ramada by Wyndham Group, Aligarh, and Best Western Hotels & Resorts, Amritsar, where he consistently delivered operational excellence.
Sahjad's rich career trajectory features corporate and operational roles, such as Corporate Operation Manager at Mapple Hotels Palaces Resorts in New Delhi and Operations Manager at Seasons Group of Hotels in Udaipur. Additionally, his expertise in guest services and room division management was honed during his tenure as Room Division Manager at The Bristol Hotel, Gurugram, and as Guest Relations Manager at Park Plaza Ludhiana.
Beginning his career as a Guest Service Associate at Fortune Select Dasve and later as an Assistant Manager at Ramada Powai Hotel and Convention Centre, Mumbai, Sahjad gained hands-on experience in delivering exceptional hospitality. His foundation was built during his industrial training at The Pride Hotels, Ahmedabad.
An alumnus of Punjab Technical University, Sahjad holds a BSc in Hotel Management, Travel, and Tourism, which laid the groundwork for his successful career in the hospitality sector.
