Saravanan Dhanabalu Takes Charge at Royal Orchid Hotels as Vice President - South

Saravanan Dhanabalu has been appointed as the Vice President - South at Royal Orchid Hotels, Bengaluru. With a distinguished career spanning decades in the hospitality industry, Saravanan brings extensive leadership experience and operational expertise to his new role, where he will oversee the strategic development and performance of properties in the southern region.  

Saravanan's illustrious career began as a Management Trainee at Fortune Jenneys Residency, where he later served as a Lobby Manager. His progression through various managerial roles, including Front Office Manager at Fortune Hotels by ITC, showcases his comprehensive understanding of hotel operations and guest services.  

As he advanced in his career, Saravanan took on roles such as Executive Manager at Comfort Inn and General Manager (Operations and Facilities) at Wimpy International. These positions equipped him with the skills to handle complex operational challenges and lead diverse teams effectively.  

Saravanan’s journey as a General Manager spanned several prestigious properties, including Days Inn Deccan Plaza, Chennai; Ramada by Wyndham, Chennai - Egmore; Empee Group of Hotels; and Days Inn Ampa - Days Inn Hotel. His leadership at these establishments focused on driving revenue growth, enhancing guest satisfaction, and optimizing operational efficiency.  

At Fortune Park Hotels Ltd, Bengaluru, Saravanan held multiple impactful roles, including General Manager, Cluster General Manager, and eventually Area Manager - South India. These roles allowed him to lead multiple properties, implement strategic initiatives, and mentor upcoming hospitality professionals.  

Academically, Saravanan holds a Post-Graduation in Facilities Management from Saxion University of Applied Sciences, which complements his extensive practical experience with a strong theoretical foundation.  

In his new role at Royal Orchid Hotels, Bengaluru, Saravanan is set to leverage his extensive expertise to further strengthen the brand's presence in South India, enhance operational excellence, and drive guest satisfaction. His proven track record of leadership and innovation makes him a pivotal addition to the Royal Orchid leadership team.
