Shashidhar Roka has been appointed as the Corporate Chef at Opo Hotels and Resorts, marking a significant milestone in his dynamic culinary journey. With a strong portfolio of leadership roles across India’s reputed hospitality brands, Chef Roka brings a wealth of experience, innovation, and a deep passion for flavor to his new role.


Prior to joining Opo Hotels and Resorts, he served as the Executive Chef at several prominent properties including Ira by Orchid Hotels, Noida, Sun Hotel & Resort, Royal Orchid Hotels, Absolute Hotel Services, Vadodara, and Hotel Royal Regency, Ghaziabad. In these roles, he was responsible for curating menus, managing kitchen operations, and elevating the dining experience with a fusion of regional and global cuisines.


Earlier in his career, Chef Roka served as a Sous Chef at Sarovar Hotels & Resorts, where he showcased his leadership and creativity in the kitchen. His foundational years included key positions such as Senior CDP at Days Inn by Wyndham, Jaipur and DCDP at the iconic Hotel Clarks Amer, Jaipur, where he refined his technical skills and culinary expertise.


Chef Shashidhar Roka’s journey from a passionate young cook to a corporate leader has been rooted in his hands-on approach and commitment to culinary excellence. A proud alumnus of Dang Public School, he has climbed the culinary ladder through relentless dedication and hands-on experience rather than formal hotel school training—an inspiring path for many aspiring chefs.
