Souvik Sarkar Appointed as Deputy Manager Training at Ambuja Neotia Hospitality

Souvik Sarkar has recently taken on the role of Deputy Manager Training at Ambuja Neotia Hospitality, Kolkata, bringing with him a diverse background in hospitality and education.

Before this position, Souvik served as the Head of Operations at Krystal School of Excellence, Kolkata, where he was instrumental in managing operations and ensuring the smooth functioning of the institution. His leadership experience is further demonstrated by his tenure as the Head of the Department for Hospitality and Hotel Administration at Assam Don Bosco University, Guwahati, where he also previously worked as an Assistant Professor.

Souvik's academic career includes roles as an Assistant Professor at Inspiria Knowledge Campus, Siliguri, and Lovely Professional University, Jalandhar. His experience in higher education is complemented by his work as a Course Coordinator at Ideal Institute of Technical Studies, Kolkata, and as a Faculty Member at NIMAS, Kolkata. These roles have allowed him to shape the curriculum and mentor future hospitality professionals.

In addition to his academic accomplishments, Souvik has practical experience in the hospitality industry. He worked as a Bartender at Swissotel Kolkata, where he developed a strong foundation in customer service and beverage management. His early career also includes a role as a Guest Service Associate at Costa Coffee India, New Delhi, where he honed his skills in guest relations.

Souvik holds a Master of Business Administration in Human Resource Management and Services from Sikkim Manipal University, Gangtok, and a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality and Tourism from Annamalai University. His combined expertise in both education and hands-on hospitality operations positions him to excel in his new role at Ambuja Neotia Hospitality.
