Abhijeet Thakre Appointed at Vivanta New Delhi Dwarka as Executive Chef

Vivanta New Delhi Dwarka is delighted to welcome Abhijeet Thakre as their new Executive Chef. With over two decades of experience in the culinary field, Abhijeet brings a wealth of expertise and passion for innovative cooking and hospitality.

Abhijeet has held several prominent positions throughout his career, including his most recent role as Executive Chef at Lagos Continental Hotel, Nigeria, where he was responsible for the entire kitchen operation, ensuring quality and consistency across various cuisines. Prior to this, he was the Executive Chef at Vivanta Surajkund, Faridabad, and Taj City Centre Gurugram, where he managed culinary operations for multiple dining venues, banquets, and specialty restaurants. 

During his time at Taj Hotels Palaces Resorts Safaris, Abhijeet served as Executive Sous Chef and was second in command of the kitchen brigade, overseeing kitchen operations and assisting in the hiring, training, and development of the culinary team. His earlier experience includes roles as Sous Chef at Taj Deccan and Novotel & HICC, where he handled various kitchen responsibilities, including all-day dining, in-room dining, and banqueting kitchens.

Abhijeet's journey in the culinary world began as a Junior Sous Chef at Taj Chandigarh, where he was in charge of the coffee shop and the European section of banquets. He later worked as a Kitchen Executive at The Park Hotels, managing the continental section for the all-day dining restaurant and leading the opening of an independent restaurant in Chennai.

A graduate of IHMCTAN, Mumbai, with a DHMCT in Hotel, Motel, and Restaurant Management, Abhijeet started his career as a Management Trainee at The Park Hotels in New Delhi, Kolkata, and Chennai.

With his extensive background and passion for culinary arts, Abhijeet Thakre is set to bring fresh ideas and culinary excellence to Vivanta New Delhi Dwarka, enhancing the dining experience for guests across all venues.
