Akash Bhatia Takes Charge as Chief Executive Officer at Eco Hotels

Akash Bhatia has recently assumed the role of Chief Executive Officer at Eco Hotels in Mumbai, where he brings his extensive leadership experience and strategic vision to guide the brand’s sustainable initiatives in the hospitality sector. Known for his transformative approach to hotel management and dedication to sustainability, Akash is set to steer Eco Hotels toward growth and enhanced operational efficiency.

Before joining Eco Hotels, Akash held several leadership roles, including his most recent position as Vice President and earlier, Group General Manager at Amritara Hotels and Resorts in New Delhi. Here, he played a key role in expanding the brand’s footprint and enhancing the guest experience across their properties. His expertise in management, paired with his ability to align operations with a strategic vision, made him a driving force behind the brand’s success.

Prior to his tenure with Amritara, Akash served as the Chief Executive Officer of Estilo Hotels & Resorts in Delhi, where he focused on strengthening brand identity and operational excellence. Akash’s hospitality career also includes his time as Cluster General Manager with the Ramee Group in Bahrain, where he successfully managed a portfolio of six international hotels. His role involved overseeing operations, driving revenue growth, and enhancing service quality to meet the expectations of a global clientele.

Akash’s career path began with roles at Lemon Tree Hotels, where he progressed from Assistant Sales Manager to Regional & Hotel General Manager, demonstrating his versatility and commitment to the hospitality industry. He held numerous responsibilities, from sales and marketing to executive management, shaping him into a well-rounded leader with a deep understanding of both operations and strategy. Additionally, Akash gained early experience as a trainee with Intercontinental The Grand, where he first immersed himself in the world of hospitality.

His academic background includes a Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management from the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad, and a Bachelor of Science in Hospitality Administration from the Institute of Hotel Management, Gurdaspur. Akash completed his early education at St. Andrews Scotts Senior Secondary School.
