Aman Usmani has been appointed Chef De Partie (Pre-Opening) at Mercure Hotels, Lucknow, bringing with him an extensive culinary background across multiple renowned hospitality brands. Aman’s experience in pre-opening roles and expertise in Indian cuisine make him an asset to the Mercure team as they embark on launching this new property.
Before his current position, Aman served as Chef De Partie (Pre-Opening) with Accor in Goa, where he played an integral role in setting up the kitchen operations for a new property. His hands-on experience in the pre-opening process is further highlighted by his time as a Demi Chef De Partie at Hilton and Hilton Garden Inn Bengaluru Embassy Manyata Business Park, where he specialized in delivering exceptional culinary experiences in Indian cuisine.
Aman also honed his skills at Renaissance Hotels, Bengaluru, as a Demi Chef De Partie in Indian Cuisine, further deepening his expertise in the preparation and presentation of traditional Indian dishes. His earlier positions as a Commis Chef at Grand Mercure Bengaluru and Accor Hotels, as well as his roles at Piccadilly Holiday Resorts Ltd and Mana Hotels, Ranakpur, equipped him with a well-rounded understanding of diverse kitchen operations.
Aman began his career as a Job Trainee at Grand Imperial Hotel and an Industrial Trainee at Piccadilly Hotel, Lucknow, where he gained foundational culinary skills and learned the essentials of running a successful kitchen.
He holds a Diploma in Food Production from the Food Craft Institute, which adds formal training to his vast practical experience in hotel, motel, and restaurant management.
