Amit Bakhshi Takes Charge as Group General Manager at Pragathi Hotels

Amit Bakhshi has been appointed as the Group General Manager at Pragathi Hotels in Assam. With an extensive background in hospitality management and operations, Amit brings a wealth of expertise to his new role, where he will oversee the overall operations, enhance guest satisfaction, and drive the strategic growth of the hotel group.

Before joining Pragathi Hotels, Amit served as the Corporate Manager Business Development and Sales at Ramanashree Hotels & Resorts in Bengaluru. In this role, he led business development initiatives, implemented sales strategies, and contributed significantly to the company's market expansion and revenue growth.

Prior to his tenure at Ramanashree Hotels & Resorts, Amit was the Hotel Manager at The Hotel Palacio in Guwahati, Assam. His responsibilities included managing daily operations, ensuring exceptional guest service, and maintaining operational efficiency.

Amit's experience also includes his role as Associate Vice President at Fipola Retail India Pvt Ltd, where he oversaw retail operations and strategic initiatives to drive company growth. Additionally, he served as the Director of Operations at Prithvi Hospitality Services, focusing on operational excellence and service quality.

Earlier in his career, Amit held the position of General Manager at various properties including Royal Orchid Hotels in Karnataka, Sarovar Hotels & Resorts in Jhansi, and MGM Hotels & Resorts. In these roles, he was responsible for managing multiple properties, driving revenue generation, and ensuring high standards of guest satisfaction.

Amit's extensive experience in food and beverage operations includes his tenure at Fortune Park JP Celestial, ITC Welcome Group Fortune Hotels, MRG Hospitality & Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd., Aditya Park Inn, and Hotel Victor Palace, Kolhapur. He led F&B teams to deliver exceptional dining experiences and operational efficiency.

In addition to his roles in F&B operations, Amit also managed facilities operations at MRG Group, directed corporate strategies at Ohris, and served as Assistant Food & Beverage Manager at Pride Hotel in Pune. His early career included positions such as Senior Captain at Holiday Inn and Captain at Cicada De Goa Beach Resort in Goa.

Amit began his career as a Food & Beverage Trainee at Ramada Renaissance in Goa, gaining foundational experience in F&B operations and service excellence.

With his extensive experience and strong leadership skills, Amit Bakhshi is well-equipped to lead Pragathi Hotels towards achieving operational excellence and enhancing guest experiences in his new role as Group General Manager.
