Sarovar Hotels & Resorts has announced the promotion of Amit Kumar Singh to Area General Manager for its operations in Lucknow. Amit's extensive experience and proven leadership skills will be instrumental in enhancing the group's presence in the region.
Amit previously held the position of General Manager at Golden Tulip Lucknow, where he successfully managed the hotel’s operations and guest services, elevating the property’s reputation in the competitive hospitality market. Prior to that, he served as Cluster General Manager for New Delhi Sarovar Hotels, overseeing the management of both Nehru Place, IGI Airport, where he significantly improved operational efficiencies and customer satisfaction.
Amit’s career journey includes roles such as Assistant Front Office Manager and Accommodation Manager at Howard Park Plaza, where he also officiated as General Manager. He began his career as a Senior Duty Manager at The Zuri White Sands Resort & Casino in Goa, followed by a role as Duty Manager at The Radisson White Sands Resort, also in Goa. His early experience includes management training as an Assistant Manager Front Office at The Kenilworth Beach Resort & Spa, as well as industrial training at Taj Residency and Hotel Clarks Avadh in Lucknow.
Amit holds a Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Science from Saptagiri College of Hotel Management in Mangalore and has furthered his expertise with a Diploma in Bartending from the Institute of Bar Operations & Management, India.
In his new role, he will oversee operations of other Sarovar Brands Hometel and Sarovar Portico along with Golden Tulip in the City of Avadh - Lucknow.
