Broccoli is a powerhouse veggie loaded with nutrients. While deep-fried broccoli cheese balls are delicious, they should be enjoyed as an appetizer in moderation.


Ingredients:

- Broccoli - 1 kg

- Eggs - 5

- Flour - 200 gm

- Red Chili Flakes - 20 gm

- Refined Oil - 500 ml

- Panko Crumbs - 300 gm

- Parsley - 10 gm

- Coriander - 50 gm

- Cheddar Cheese - 150 gm

- Mozzarella Cheese - 150 gm

- Salt - 20 gm

- Black Pepper - 10 gm

- Cajun Spice - 40 gm

- Onion - 100 gm

- Garlic - 10 gm


Method:

1. Steam the broccoli in boiling water until tender.

2. Finely chop the steamed broccoli using a knife or food processor.

3. Blend the cheddar cheese and mozzarella cheese together.

4. Blend the parsley, coriander, red chili flakes, Cajun spice, salt, and black pepper together.

5. In a large bowl, mix the chopped broccoli, cheese blend, herb and spice blend, chopped onion, and minced garlic. Add flour for binding.

6. Take about one tablespoon of the mixture and shape it into a ball.

7. Create a batter using eggs and a small amount of flour.

8. Dip each broccoli ball into the batter and coat it with panko crumbs.

9. Heat refined oil in a deep fryer or large pot. Deep fry the coated broccoli balls until golden and crispy.

10. Serve hot and enjoy!


Broccoli cheese balls make for a delightful appetizer, combining the healthy goodness of broccoli with the rich flavors of cheese and spices.
