General Manager Deba Prasad Joins IHG Hotels & Resorts

IHG Hotels & Resorts is pleased to welcome Deba Prasad as the new General Manager for its Kolkata property. With a career spanning over two decades in the hospitality industry, Deba brings extensive experience and strategic leadership to his new role.

Previously, Deba served as Director of Operations at Cygnett Hotels, where he implemented key operational improvements to enhance guest experiences. Prior to that, he held various senior management roles, including General Manager at renowned brands such as MGM Muthu Hotels, Ramee Hotels in Dubai, Sterling Holiday Resorts Limited, and Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group in the United States, where he drove substantial growth and service excellence. His international expertise is further highlighted by his role as Cluster Operations Manager at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts in the UAE, where he successfully managed multiple properties and optimized operational efficiencies.

Deba’s academic credentials are equally impressive. He holds an International Executive MBA in Global Business Administration from United Business Institute in Brussels, Belgium, a B.Com (Hons) in Commerce from the University of Calcutta, and a three-year graduation in hotel operations and catering technology from the Institute of Hotel Management (IHM) Delhi.

Deba’s extensive knowledge of global hospitality standards, coupled with his commitment to guest satisfaction, positions him well to lead IHG Hotels & Resorts in Kolkata toward new heights of success.
