IHM Meerut Celebrated the Second ANHAD 2025 with Great Pomp and Show

This program was conducted to raise awareness among various hospitality institutes about the emerging talents in the industry.

The 2nd ANHAD 2025 was organized at IHM Meerut on 21 March 2025. This program was conducted to raise awareness among various hospitality institutes about the emerging talents in the industry. CT University Jalandhar, FCI Aligarh, Amrapali University Haldwani, IIHMCT Hyderabad, Jagran Lake University Bhopal, Galgotias University Noida, GNA University Phagwara, IHM Dehradun, ICI Noida, SRM Modinagar, and Dewan IHM participated in various competitions.


At the beginning of the program, the ceremonial lamp was lit by members of the institute's management, followed by Director Colonel Suresh Gupta (Retd.) welcoming all the guests with bouquets. In his welcome address, the Director stated that ANHAD is an excellent platform for showcasing talent. He emphasized that not only can participants learn from one another, but they can also push beyond their limits.


Various competitions were organized during the program, including Indian cuisine, bakery, pot painting, napkin folding, rangoli, mocktail making, and quiz competitions. The event was hosted by Miss Pratika Chhabda and Mr. Abhishek Yadav. The cultural segment began with a welcome dance performed by the students.


The competitions were judged by an esteemed panel, including Chef Bharat Khemani (Co-owner of Karachi Halwa House, New Delhi), Chef Vinod Kumar Sidhu (Founder, Polka Bakery and Viennese Bakery), Mr. Sumit Chaudhary (GM, Justa Group), and Mr. Lakshya Narula (Assistant Front Office Manager, Taj Hotel). Notably, Mr. Sumit Chaudhary and Chef Bharat Khemani are proud alumni of IHM Meerut and have made significant contributions to the hospitality industry.


The winners were honored with trophies by the Chief Guest and Special Guest. The prize distribution ceremony was conducted under the guidance of Director Colonel Suresh Gupta (Retd.), Dean Academic Chef Sandeep Verma, and Event Coordinators Chef Sanjay Tyagi and Abhinav Sharma. The winners in various competitions were:


- Indian Cuisine (Three-Course Menu): Galgotias University

- Bakery and Confectionery: IHM Dehradun

- Pot Painting: IIHMCT Hyderabad

- Rangoli: Amrapali University

- Napkin Folding: IIHMCT Hyderabad

- Mocktail Making: IHM Dehradun

- Quiz Competition: IHM Meerut


At the conclusion of the event, Dean Chef Sandeep Verma delivered the vote of thanks, expressing his sincere gratitude to all the guests for attending and encouraging both students and faculty. He also extended special thanks to the sponsors, including JOJO, Masala Mandi, Monin, Bikano, Clear, Adani, Veeba, KMW, MS Overseas Consultant, and Global Placement. All faculty and staff members actively contributed to the seamless execution of the event. The rangoli artwork created by students received special appreciation, adding a vibrant touch to the celebration.
