Krishnendu Banerjee has recently joined Compass Group India in Hyderabad as Executive Chef, bringing with him an impressive culinary portfolio and a deep understanding of the food and hospitality industry. Known for his creative culinary skills and strategic leadership, Krishnendu will now oversee the culinary operations for Compass Group, focusing on delivering quality and innovative dining experiences.
Krishnendu’s extensive background includes his previous role as Executive Chef at Marriott International in Goa, where he managed culinary teams and crafted memorable dining experiences. He also served as Executive Sous Chef at Radisson Hotel Group in Pune and at Accor in Chennai, further refining his expertise in high-volume, upscale environments. His career has seen him in multiple roles, including Sous Chef at Marriott International in Pune and The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group in Goa, showcasing his versatile skills across various culinary landscapes.
He began his culinary journey as a Management Trainee with The Lalit Suri Hospitality Group in New Delhi, which laid the foundation for his expertise. His international experience includes a position as Chef with P&O Cruises in the United Kingdom, where he gained insights into global culinary standards.
Krishnendu holds a degree in hotel management from the Durgapur Society of Management Science and has specialized in Western culinary arts with a Diploma in Culinary Graduate Operations (DCGO) from the Culinary Academy of India. With his combination of experience and training, he is expected to lead Compass Group’s culinary team toward new standards of innovation and quality.
