Serves: 4

Cooking Time: 8-10 minutes

           

Ingredients:

White Pumpkin - 600 gm

Grated Paneer (Cottage Cheese)- 300 gm

Chopped Onion - 30 gm

Chopped Ginger - 20 gm

Chopped Carrot - 30 gm

Chopped Green Chilli - 10 gm

Chopped Coriander Leaves - 20 gm

Salt - To taste

White Pepper Powder - To taste

Kabab Chini Powder - a pinch

Elaichi Javitri Powder - a pinch

Green Paste - 30 gm

Fresh Breadcrumbs - 40 gm

 

Method:

1. Wash, peel, and grate the outer part of pumpkin except the seeds.

2. In boiling water, add a pinch of salt. Boil grated pumpkin until soft. Strain and immediately keep in cold water. When cold, squeeze excess water and put it in a bowl.

3. Add grated cottage cheese, chopped onion, ginger, carrot, green chillies, green coriander and mix well.

4. Add salt, white pepper powder, kabab chini powder, elaichi javitri powder, green paste, fresh breadcrumbs and mix thoroughly until it binds together.

5. Divide this mixture into 16 equal portions.

           

For Cooking

1. Take a skewer and apply mixture on it with moist hands in a cylindrical shape and grill in tandoor or on charcoal grill at moderate temperature for 8-10 minutes.

2. Serve hot with choice of salad and chutney.
