It is the perfect seafood recipe to get the real Kerala flavors.


Serves: 2 people


Ingredients:

- Garlic - 2 tbsp

- Ginger - 1 tbsp

- Shallots - 150 gm

- Green Chilli - 4 nos.

- Few Curry Leaves

- Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp

- Fennel Seeds - 1 tsp

- Fenugreek - ½ tsp

- Coconut Oil - 50 ml

- Coconut Milk - 200 ml

- Seer Fish Cubes (30 gm each) - 6 nos.

- Turmeric Powder - 2 tsp

- Crushed Pepper - 1 tsp

- Medium-Sized Potato - 1 no.

- Yoghurt - 100 ml


Method:

1. Marinate the seer fish cubes with salt, crushed pepper, and 1 tsp of turmeric powder and set it aside for 15 minutes.

2. Crush ginger, garlic, curry leaf, green chilies, and shallots.

3. Grill the marinated seer fish cubes in a nonstick pan with little coconut oil, and remove the seer fish cubes when they are half done.

4. Put the remaining coconut oil in the same pan and temper the fenugreek, mustard seeds, and fennel seeds.

5. Add 1 tsp of turmeric powder and crushed ingredients and sauté well. Add grilled seer fish cubes to it and mix well.

6. Add coconut milk and mix well.

7. Add yoghurt and 2 pieces of diced tomato and cook on a slow flame for two minutes.

8. Once the sauce becomes thick, remove it and serve hot with boiled rice or roti.
