Ingredients:

Chana Dal - 1 cup

Jaggery - 1 cup

Cardamom Powder - ¼ tsp

Salt - ¼ tsp

Grated Coconut - 2 cups

Sago - ½ tbsp

Cashew Nut Pieces - ½ tbsp


Method:

1. Cook dal in 2 cups of water, till soft.

2. Wash and soak sago for 10 to 15 minutes. Then add sago to dal and cook for 5 minutes till sago turns translucent.

3. Grind coconut and extract milk with 1 & ½ cups of water. Keep aside.

4. Add jaggery to cooked dal and sago, stir and cook for another 2 minutes.

5. Add coconut milk and cashew nuts and cook for another 4 minutes. Further add cardamom powder and salt and stir slowly. Cover it to rest for 5 minutes.

6. Serve warm and relish.
