Recently appointed as the Executive Chef at Alila Diwa Goa - A Hyatt Brand, Rakesh Kumar boasts an impressive career in the culinary arts, with extensive experience as an Executive Chef in renowned hospitality establishments.


Rakesh oversees the culinary operations to ensure a delightful dining experience for guests. Prior to his role at Alila Diwa Goa, Rakesh held the position of Unit Executive Chef at The Lalit Hotel Jaipur, where he demonstrated exceptional leadership and culinary expertise.


Throughout his career, Rakesh has acquired a diverse skill set, including team building, butchery, menu development, sanitation, fine dining, and cost control. His proficiency in Italian cuisine, along with specialties in continental and fusion cuisine, has contributed to the success of various establishments.


Rakesh's journey in the culinary field began with roles as a Sous Chef at Taj Hotels and Ristorante Pappagallo, where he showcased his talents in menu development and fine dining. His experience as an Executive Sous Chef at Alila Diwa Goa and Head of Department at Aman Tokyo further enriched his culinary expertise.


Education-wise, Rakesh holds a Bachelor's degree in Hotel Management, Cuisine, Food Science, and Nutrition from the Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition, Goa. Additionally, he has completed a diploma in Tourism and Travel Services Management from Indira Gandhi National Open University.
