Sayantan Chakraborty Takes Charge as Executive Chef at The Indian Hotels Company Limited

The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) has appointed Sayantan Chakraborty as the Executive Chef at their Guwahati property. Bringing a wealth of experience in culinary excellence and operational leadership, Sayantan continues his journey with IHCL, where he previously served as Executive Chef at their Bhubaneswar location.
Sayantan's impressive career spans multiple high-profile roles within the Taj Hotels chain, where he held various positions, including Sous Chef in Rishikesh and Kolkata, before his promotion to Executive Sous Chef. His talent and dedication also led him to serve as Executive Chef at Goodricke Group Limited in Darjeeling. Earlier in his career, Sayantan gained hands-on experience and honed his skills as a Chef de Partie and Management Trainee with Taj Hotels in New Delhi and Kolkata.
A seasoned professional with a strong academic foundation, Sayantan holds an MBA in Organizational Leadership from Liverpool John Moores University, as well as a postgraduate degree from the Institute of Management Technology, Ghaziabad. He also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management from the Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition in Kolkata.
In his new role at IHCL Guwahati, Sayantan is expected to lead the culinary team with his expertise, creativity, and passion for delivering memorable dining experiences.
