Shashanka Paul Ascends as Cluster General Manager at Cygnett Hotels, Uttarakhand

Shashanka Paul has recently been promoted to Cluster General Manager for Cygnett Hotels in Uttarakhand. This promotion recognizes Shashanka's exceptional contributions and leadership in the hospitality industry.

In his new role, Shashanka will oversee the operations of multiple properties in Uttarakhand, aiming to enhance guest experiences and operational efficiency. Prior to this promotion, he served as General Manager at Cygnett Hotels in Nainital, excelling in hotel development, P&L management, and budget forecasting. His leadership was instrumental in the successful opening of new hotels and maintaining high standards of service and guest satisfaction.

Shashanka's journey with Cygnett Hotels began as Operations Manager in Nainital. His outstanding performance led to a transfer to Lucknow, where he continued in the same role. He also served as Operations Manager in Nepalganj, Bheri, Nepal, showcasing his ability to manage diverse hospitality operations effectively.

Before joining Cygnett Hotels, Shashanka built a distinguished career in the hospitality industry. He was the Executive Housekeeper at ITC Fortune Select Forest Hill Solan and held the same position at Golden Tulip Hospitality Group in Lucknow. In these roles, he was responsible for setting up standard operating procedures, procurement, budgeting, vendor selection, recruitment, training, and overseeing property preopenings, ensuring exceptional cleanliness and guest satisfaction standards.

Shashanka also served as Executive Housekeeper at Country Inn & Suites by Carlson in Navi Mumbai. He played a crucial role in the snagging and phase-wise handover of the property, coordinating with the project team for smooth hotel openings, and maintaining operational efficiency.

His hospitality career began with the HHI group of Hotels in Kolkata, where he served as Housekeeping Executive. Throughout his career, Shashanka has consistently demonstrated his ability to lead and improve housekeeping operations, ensuring high standards of service and guest experience.

Shashanka holds a B.Sc in Hotel & Hospitality Management and Administration from IHM Taratala, Kolkata, and completed his higher secondary education in Business/Commerce from Kendriya Vidyalaya. Additionally, he has earned a certification in Digital Marketing from Google Digital Garage, showcasing his commitment to continuous learning and adapting to industry trends.
