Subyendu Roy has taken on the role of Executive Chef at Sayaji Resorts & Spa, Udaipur. With over a decade of diverse culinary experience, he brings a wealth of knowledge and passion for food that promises to elevate the dining experiences at the resort.
A graduate from the prestigious NIPS School of Hotel Management, Kolkata, Subyendu holds a BSc in Food Preparation/Professional Cooking/Kitchen Assistant, which laid the foundation for his culinary career. Over the years, he has built a remarkable portfolio across renowned hotels and resorts, gaining expertise in both Indian and international cuisines.
Before joining Sayaji Resorts & Spa, Udaipur, Subyendu held several key positions. His journey began as a Commis Chef at Le Meridien, Ahmedabad, where he honed his skills in the kitchen. His talents were further recognized as he progressed to become a Demi Chef at Radisson Blu, Dubai and later at Millennium Central Downtown and Astoria Hotel, Dubai. He also showcased his leadership capabilities as Chef De Partie (Pre-Opening) at Omega Hotel, Dubai.
Subyendu's return to India saw him joining Four Points by Sheraton, Ahmedabad, and continuing his ascent in the culinary world as Sous Chef (Pre-Opening) at The Pride Hotels. His most notable achievements came during his tenure at Ramada by Wyndham Gandhidham, where he progressed from Sous Chef to Executive Chef. His exceptional work at Gandhidham earned him the Best Executive Chef in the Gandhidham Region at the AAHAR WAYS AWARDS 2023-24.
In his new role as Executive Chef at Sayaji Resorts & Spa, Udaipur, Subyendu is set to introduce innovative dishes and create memorable culinary experiences for guests. His blend of international experience and local expertise is expected to bring fresh flavors and creativity to the resort's dining outlets.
