Sumanta Banerjee Welcomed at Sobit Sarovar Portico as Executive Chef

Sumanta Banerjee has recently been appointed to the role of Executive Chef at Sobit Sarovar Portico. With extensive experience in culinary arts and food and beverage operations, Sumanta brings a wealth of expertise to his new position, where he will oversee the kitchen operations and culinary team in South Goa, India.


Before joining Sobit Sarovar Portico, Sumanta served as Executive Chef at Mahindra Holidays & Resorts India Limited. In this role, he was responsible for menu planning, food preparation, and ensuring high standards of food quality and presentation across various locations in India.


Prior to his role at Mahindra Holidays, Sumanta worked as SR Sous Chef at Ramada by Wyndham in Gangtok, Sikkim, India. He demonstrated exceptional leadership skills and culinary expertise, managing kitchen operations and delivering outstanding dining experiences.


Sumanta’s earlier experience includes a significant tenure at Hotel The Panache Patna, where he held the position of Executive Chef. During this time, he managed the kitchen operations, developed innovative recipes, and ensured consistent food quality. He also served as Junior Sous Chef at the same establishment, showcasing his dedication and commitment to excellence.


At Royal Orchid Hotels in Shimoga, Karnataka, Sumanta served as Chef De Partie. Here, he honed his culinary skills and contributed to the hotel's dining offerings. He also served as Chef De Partie at Vijayshree Resort & Heritage Village in Hospet, Karnataka.


Sumanta's culinary journey began with roles as Commi Chef at Hotel Fidalgo in Goa, Bambolim Beach Resort in Goa, and Avantika Resort in Goa. He also gained valuable experience as a Job Trainee at Santiago Resort in Goa and as an Industrial Trainee at Sun Village Resort & Spa in Goa.


Sumanta holds a Hotel Operation Course certificate from the School of Indian Hotel Management. His educational background, coupled with his extensive professional experience, has equipped him with a robust skill set in food and beverage operations, cooking, and food preparation. He completed his education from 

Panchsowa Rabindra Vidyapith.


With his comprehensive experience and proven track record in culinary management, Sumanta Banerjee is poised to excel in his new role as Executive Chef at Sobit Sarovar Portico, bringing innovative culinary delights and exceptional dining experiences to guests.
