The Embassy of Finland, India, is delighted to announce the appointment of Upendra Singh as its new Executive Chef, bringing a wealth of culinary expertise and experience to the diplomatic mission. With a diverse culinary background spanning various esteemed establishments, Upendra is poised to elevate the dining experience at the embassy to new heights.


Prior to joining the Embassy of Finland, Upendra served as Corporate Chef at La Pyramid Hospitalities Pvt. Ltd. in Ambala, where he demonstrated his culinary prowess in managing diverse culinary operations and maintaining high standards of quality and hygiene.


His culinary journey includes notable positions such as Executive Chef at The BrewMaster in Amritsar, Unplugged Courtyard in Gurgaon and Agra, Le Lotus Grand Hotel in Varanasi, and Hilltop Hotel in Gulmarg. In each role, Upendra showcased his creativity, innovation, and leadership, earning acclaim for his culinary creations and commitment to excellence.


Before his executive chef roles, Upendra honed his skills in various kitchen positions, including Sous Chef at Bombay Bar in Rajouri Garden, Junior Sous Chef at Light Camera Action in Rajouri Garden, Chef De Partie at Zaza Box in Gurgaon, and Chef at BRYS Hotels in Jaisalmer. His culinary journey also took him to the USA Embassy in Chanakya Puri, Delhi, where he served as a Chef, further enriching his culinary repertoire with international exposure.


Upendra's culinary education includes training in Culinary Arts and Hotel/Motel Administration/Management from Rai University, providing him with a strong foundation in both the art and business of culinary management. His formative years at The Army Public School, Dhaula Kuan, New Delhi, instilled in him discipline, dedication, and a commitment to excellence that he brings to his culinary endeavors.
