Uttam Das has been promoted to the position of Executive Chef at The Indian Hotels Company Limited (IHCL) in Bhubaneswar. With a remarkable journey spanning over several years in the culinary field, Uttam has demonstrated exceptional leadership, innovation, and a commitment to culinary excellence.


Prior to his promotion, Uttam served as the Chef Incharge at IHCL Bhubaneswar, where he played a key role in managing kitchen operations and ensuring high-quality standards. Before joining the Bhubaneswar team, he held the position of Head Chef in Visakhapatnam. His extensive experience also includes serving as an Executive Sous Chef in Chennai and as a Sous Chef in both Hyderabad and Goa, where he honed his skills in managing diverse kitchen teams and creating memorable dining experiences.


Uttam began his career as a Kitchen Executive at Cidade de Goa and advanced to Chef De Partie at The Leela Palaces, Hotels, and Resorts in Goa. He further enriched his culinary expertise as a Demi Chef De Partie at Olhuveli Beach and Spa Resort in the Maldives. His early career included roles as Commis 1 at The Leela Palaces & Resorts in Goa and Commis at Holiday Inn Resort Goa, where he developed a strong foundation in culinary arts.


Uttam's educational background includes a 3-year Diploma in Hotel Management, Business Administration, and Management from CIHM Bhubaneswar, where he gained comprehensive knowledge and skills that have been pivotal to his career growth.


With his new role as Executive Chef, Uttam Das is set to lead the culinary team at IHCL Bhubaneswar to new heights, bringing his creativity, passion, and dedication to delivering outstanding dining experiences for guests.
